Join the Friends of Herring Run Parks on Friday, November 24 for a guided hike of the Lower Herring Run, home of beavers, deer and blue herons.

Guided hikes start at 2 PM from the Oliver Brewery at
4216 Shannon Drive, Baltimore 21213.

Following the hikes, meet up at the Brewery for beer tasting, food trucks and
‘giving thanks’ to all our members and volunteers.
Hike and beer tasting is $5 each and pre-registration is encouraged at

On-site registration is available day of at 7:30 a.m. Remember, registrants will be Fueled by Zeke’s Coffee! Light snacks provided.

Fun crafts for children and families, a scavenger hunt and a holiday food basket collection to benefit Masterpiece Community Connection Ministries.

Pastor Erica Stanley’s suggested food donations are cabbage, collard greens, kale, carrots, rice, macaroni, potatoes, gravy, whole chicken, corn bread, cranberry sauce, yams, stuffing, vegetables. Food baskets will be assembled after the race.

Join us in cleaning the park before our guests arrive!

Can you help us put our best face forward by helping to clean Herring Run Park before the November 19th 5k? It would be really great if we could showcase our beautiful park to the hundreds of folks who visit it for Trot the Trail.

We will be removing trash from wooded areas and the river.

Parking will be available on the street and nearby field.

Trash pickers, bags, gloves, and water will be provided for volunteers.

We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes and long pants.
